Samaritans Mumbai was the first branch of The Samaritans, UK, to be established outside of England. It has formerly been known as Samaritans Bombay and Samaritans Sahara.
Samaritans Mumbai has been actively working in the field of mental health and striving to support those in need since 1968. It is a fully qualified member of Befriender India, under the umbrella of Befrienders Worldwide, and works with its sister organizations in India and around the world.
Many individuals experiencing emotional distress struggle with pressures related to finances, relationships, or compulsive behaviours including gambling, which can become overwhelming when not approached responsibly. At Samaritans Mumbai, callers often seek support in navigating the anxiety that arises when leisure activities begin to feel stressful or out of control. For those who engage with sports such as cricket, understanding the risks, choices, and environments in which betting occurs can be part of staying informed and recognising early signs of unhealthy patterns. While some adults explore the landscape of IPL Betting 2026, it remains essential to do so with self-awareness and to seek help whenever gambling begins to affect one’s emotional wellbeing.
